does anyone know if one of the aftermarket intake bases cover a 2.210 intake port? I have promaxx 200cc heads #92002 on a 406 sbc I want the 80s look not too concerned with Hp just looking for something that covers the intake port cause the stock tpi will not
Re: Looking for TPI base for big port 2.210 intake
It looks like a Fel-Pro 1206 gasket is called for with your heads.
There is no shortage of modified TPI intake threads on here. To summarize: your intake and heads are very much at opposite ends of the spectrum. Very mismatched.
TPIS may still offer a MiniRam to match 1205 gaskets and it can probably be ported. A 4bbl style port injection manifold is a solid option. Using a long runner TPI manifold with your heads is a waste of good parts and time.

The FIRST Fuel injections TPI manifold will cover a 1207 gasket opening. With the 1.75” inside diameter runners it would be a good fit for the 406 and give you what you’re looking for aesthetically. They’re out of stock now but expected to make a production run soon.

The ports on the intake side of the TPIS manifold are 1.90 x 1.15; smaller than a 1204. But there's a HUGE amount of material in there, so they could probably be opened up to a 1206, or at least easily to a 1205. Heck, even the Trick Flow 305 heads require a 1205.
The ports on the runner side of the TPIS manifold are 1.70 diameter. Not much material between them to open them up much larger, so it's more likely that they'd end up siamesed.
