1.65" & 1.75" laser cut TPI Runner Gaskets

SPR PERFORMANCE

NEW PRODUCT ALERT FOR THE TPI COMMUNITY!!!

1.65" and 1.75" LARGE PORT PLENUM/RUNNER GASKETS

Our custom designed laser cut gaskets will be in a limited production run late this week. After this run it will be a "pre-order" status. We are making 15 complete sets this week.
We are using 1/8" (.125") Nitrile Buna-n rubber. We are using Solidworks and Autodesk Fusion. So far, we have 7 hours in to drawing and fine tuning them. We assure a very precise fit gasket. These gaskets will be twice the thickness of the large port runner gaskets on the market. Most are 060"-.063" thick and ours are .125" thick. To our knowledge no one has ever produced such a gasket. The outer wall around the bores is thicker than most. This will help make a better seal and conform to the mounting surfaces.

This material is considerably more expensive than the standard "paper" gasket material used in today's market so, the overall cost will be more. The cost is definitely worth it as it is literally the best material for this type of gasket in our professional opinion. Yes, there are far more expensive materials that may be superior, but the price of that material does not justify it's use for this application. These gaskets will be superior to what has been on the market!!! Our Buna-n gaskets will conform to the uneven machined surfaces on the aftermarket large port runners.

This type of material will not need to be torqued down as much as the standard "paper" gaskets used. We recommend using a red LOCTITE 272 on all runner bolts.

We use this material for all of our custom laser cut gasket. The material is shown in the photo.

Buna-n Nitrile rubber properties:
  • Temperature range: Buna-N can be used at temperatures ranging from -40°F for minimum service and +250°F for maximum service.
  • Chemical resistance: Buna-N is resistant to many hydrocarbons, fats, oils, greases, and hydraulic fluids. It also has good resistance to diluted acids and solvent hydrocarbons. However, it has poor resistance to concentrated acids, halogenated solvents, and brake fluids.
  • Physical properties: Buna-N has good abrasion and tear resistance, good rebound, and good compression set. It also has a Shore A hardness rating from 40 to 90.
Adhesion to metals: Buna-N has good to excellent adhesion to
metals

Re: 1.65" & 1.75" laser cut TPI Runner Gaskets

Are these reusable like the blue Holley carb gaskets?

The 1.75 would be for the Accel intake and runners?

best to measure, but I believe the Accel are 1.75”. Buna-n material is technically reusable. If not over tightened. We have used this material before at this thickness and have had great success in reusing and sealing

I am running an oem TPI intake that I spent considerable time porting. I also have an Accel intake.

Thanks for posting.

Just paid for a set of the 1.65 gaskets today! I'm using the ASM runners with an Accel base.
