Newbie troubleshooting
I’ll try to keep this short. I have 86 Iroc, 305 TPI, car was running before I did recent maintenance. I removed the intake manifold to replace the gaskets. Which required to remove the distributor. Marked the position of the rotor, cap and the base before removing. I also Replace the plenum gaskets, valve cover gaskets and injectors (from Southbay). EGR valve and sensor, fuel pressure regulator, TPS, and IAC.
put everything back together and the car won’t start. At first it would turn over but not run. Now it just doesn’t turn over when trying to start. I suspect a timing issue and I’ve become adept at finding TDC removing first spark plug, finding compression stroke and setting the rotor on #1 cylinder. I’ve done the TDC process with two different mechanics to confirm. I’ve verified spark, changed cap, rotor, ignition module, verified firing order, reinstalled the old injectors,TPS, Fuel pressure regulator and IAC. I verified fuel pressure witha gauge using the port on the fuel rail.
any suggestions? I turn the key and just try’s to start like there’s no spark but I’ve used noid light on the injectors, spark tester on all the wires, fuel pressure. Changed parts on the distributor, check 12v on the distributor, etc. (yeah I have too much free time LOL) I’m now looking at ECM or fuel rail. It’s either so far out of timing(if so, how can I confirm?) or fuel delivery issue. Any suggestions are helpful.

Re: Newbie troubleshooting
I'm a bit lost on exactly what the problem is. Are you saying the starter is not turning the engine? What is TPS? BTW - best to replace things one at a time if you can help it. that way you know exactly what changed when something doesnt work.
sounds like you have fuel, spark, timing correct. that pretty much leaves the TPS or IAC.
