swirl port heads?
I have a set of 350 heads and I saw on e-bay that the same heads (14102193) are called "swirl port heads" are they really that good? what do they flow?

Those are 350 TBI truck heads. My dad ported a set, and with an LT1 cam, a ported stock TPI intake, SLP 1 3/4" headers and a 3" exhaust, I dynoed 250 HP and 335 TQ at the wheels. The best I got the car to run was 14.2 @ 98 MPH, but it was untuned, and rich. I'm positive it could have run 13's.
Stock the flow numbers are around 180 and 140 cfm (intake/exhaust @ .500" lift). After my dad's porting they were 195 and 180 cfm.

Kev, i think you forgot to mention that there is NOTHING 'good' about swirl port heads, which was the guy's question.
Swirl port heads are so named b/c of a cast in 'fin' in the intake port that is there to promote 'swirl' in the intake air charge to help with low speed atomization problems (amazing that GM never had a problem with such issues in years of carbed vehicles, yet TBI vehicles in general all have this lovely feature)
The problem is, the swirling of the incoming air comes with a very heavy penalty in airflow.
Even if you port out the fin and make them a half decent head they are still a small port garbage casting with no real performance potential. But it's gonna take you that much extra work to make them flow like a nomral stock 350 head (note how kev's performance w/ well ported swirl ports was barely on par with what you'd expect a stock headed L98 car to do.)
