Well I finally got some word back, Steve Spohn is interested, but he is not hooked up direct with edelbrock yet. He said we would need $5000 worth of orders and then he would have to send edelbrock his business credentials to set him up as a vendor. Now here is the only bad part, we would have to wait 3-4 weeks to get this going. He told me right now he can get the parts fora couple of buck below summit, but we will get a steal of a deal when he buys from edelbrock. I need to know if you are willing to wait that long and I will have Steve get the ball rolling asap.

 

That's fine with me. It gives me more time to get some cash ready. I'm in if he goes to edelbrock for the cheaper price.

 

There are some Edelbrock items I'm interested in and could make a signifcant dent in the $5K order Steve needs...so keep me aware of when this will occur.

does he know what kind of discount he can get? also have you tried calling edelbrock directly? I was just wondering, I"m interested if everything is cheap enough.

 

He has never contacted edelbrock so he doesn't know what kind of deal he can get, I am going to e-mail spohn today and have him get the GP finally going. I have no doubt that once I get some prices we will have enough interest in it.

Summertime...these things need to come up right before summer...that is hwen I start modded the new 305 to go in and when my income picks up..right now i am struggling for gas.

Same here man, but don't worry I'm going to try to get some going in about april-june. I'm thinking I'm gonna do some headers,runners,tb,cams and maybe the vortec base and heads for a tpi. I've also thought about trying to orginize one for the superrams(if there is enough people interested) we'll see with time what I do, PM me if you would like me to try to get anything else going, I'd be more than happy to orginize several.

 

I'm still deciding on going w/ the Vortec base or not...If I can get Vortec heads cheap & then get them machined some then I'll go in that direction.

Yes, definately keep us updated. I want a base, and if the price drops enough I might be in for a 52mm TB too.

BTW, what is so special about the Vortec base if it is made by Edlebrock? Is it just another case of TPIS "lets put our name on it and charge an extra $100"? Or is it really a better design?
