The ramjet intake manifolds, big and small block, are now available for purchase
Gm part number 12489371. gmpartsdirect has 'em for $380.36. So looks like yet another option for our high performance intake needs.

Looks like it's drilled for vortec style heads ...

Cool. Looks like you can get the performance of the LT1 intake swap without all the work. It does not come with anything though so you would have to get a monoblade TB from somewhere.

Thats interesting that they have that set-up for sale. My question is whats better that or the mini-ram. I was thinking about doing the mini-ram soon, and the ram-jet set-up is similar isnt it? I wonder what the bigger difference is? If you guys know let me know Thanks.
Bleh.
Fuel Rails are expensive.
You have to run Vortech, Fastburn or E-tec heads.
Have to scrounge up a monoblade TB.
Have to replace the throttle cable since the connector is on the passenger side.
No emission provisions if you need such.
PITA if you ask me.

Plus it looks like hell.
I really don't want my engine bay to look like it came from 1957 when I pop the hood.

Performance wise, I would expect it to be similar to a Miniram or converted LT1 intake. But, I think the cost of converting an LT1 intake is still the "cheapest bang for the buck".
But if you WANTED to use the Vortec style of heads, it really is your only choice, other than a Miniram III.
