Mini/SuperRam Alternative??????

What's up with this thing? (Holley Stealth Ram - scroll down)

http://www.holley.com/HiOctn/WhatsNew/WhatsNew.html

Its all a-buzz at corvetteforum.com. Will it fit under the hood of an f-body? Oh well, at least someone is still doing R&D on Tuned Port injection.

check out www.lt1intake.com, helluva lot cheaper. Also if you use vortec heads the ramjet manifold is available seperately, though pricey (not as bad as the superram and miniram though). As far as the Holley manifold I think it's the pretty much the same height as a stock tpi.

Why don't you try the LT1 or Ramjet intake on your '89 IROC project and let us know how it goes? Aren't you happy with the Miniram or Superam?

I am doing the LT1 intake on my Iroc. I am very happy with the miniram, less happy with the superram (installation is a beotch, and the miniram performs a lot better). They're both just well over a thousand dollars by the time alls said and done, the LT1 intake can be done for 4-500 or less depending on how much work you can do yourself. Or you can siamese your tpi intake like a couple other people have done, and that's free (except for the cost of the new gaskets). Several people have already done both of these conversions though, do a search in the tpi section of this board. One person has even done and LT4 intake with fastburn heads. I'm going with a 383 for the IROC, the lt1 intake, a crane roller cam, and probably a direct port nitrous set up, though I'm looking at the the new NOSles as well. Don't get me wrong the miniram is an excellent piece, and I'm sure the holley will be too, but price wise, you can get the intake and a killer nitrous set up with the lt1 for the price of any of these other intakes (hmm maybe if we get the word out on this they'll lower their prices).

Hell no, I just said I'm happy with the miniram. The lt1 intake is going on a different car. If the miniram wasn't so freakin' expensive I'd be putting one on the iroc as well, but when it's 850 for the intake, and 350 for the fuel rails for the mini ram vs. the 150 i paid for the lt1 intake with fuel rails + a bit of work in the shop, for an intake that's almost identical guess which way i'm gonna go.
