Is it worth it to ceramic coat the plenum and runners
I was wondering if it is worth it to ceramic coat the plenum and runners, will it do anything except empty my wallet?Has it been done? do you do inside and out or inside or just outside.
I really don't think that coating the plenum and runners will help performance, but if you drag rac it alot it will cool down a whole lot quicker, and yes when you have it coated do the inside and outside otherwise you are defeating the purpose. I had my headers done last year and after about fifteen minutes you can grab them without fear of getting burned, but if you forget and touch the plenum at the same time you get burnt, so I would do it just to cool underhood temp. besides it looks really good, I plan on doing my whole intake set-up this summer !!!
check out these guys they done my headers and they are alot cheaper than jet-hot they also do intake set-up's

I think it'd actually take longer to cool down, once the Al is heatsoaked. But maybe the coating would provide a smooth finish (assuming coated inside too) to aid in airflow?
I don't think I'd spend the money unless I had the stuff polished first...the ceramic coating would ke much easier to keep the shine.
