STB clearance

How much space should I leave between the TPI and the Strut Tower Brace. I'm planning on making my own, but i'm not sure how much the engine moves around. I have stock motor mounts. It starts to get pretty tight up near that hood. Thanks!!!

To the best of my knowledge, and the instructions in my STB kit, the bar sits within 1/4 - 3/8 inch of the top of the plenum. I have the Edelbrock 3-point setup, which uses a flat section rectangular tubing. The BMR setup uses a pretty beefy round tube, with a relief plate cut in to it to clear the TPI.

Good luck, I'll try to post a pic of my setup as soon as it gets light around here.

BTW: BMR Fabrication has some pics of their setup installed. Dunno about Edelbrock, tho......
