MAP Sensor question
MAP Sensor question
hey,
My MAP sensor on my 91 TPI 305 trans am shows 12inHG at idle. The MAP voltage is 1.70V.
Isn't this supposed to be 20 inches at idle? My book says its supposed to be 30-70 kPa...however that converts. Bad sensor?
My last question is where is this sensor located? Is it the one thats screwed into the bottom of my TPI Plenum?
thanks

No, the MAP is on the passenger side of the plennum, where the 3 vacum lines run into the plennum... you cant miss it, its a black box abou 3"x2", with a 3 or 4 wire connector goin to it.
