Old heads on 350 TPI

what kind of heads can I put on my 350 TPI, and still use the stock base?

Can I use old style heads? Will I have to redrill the bolt holes in the base?

I would like to change the heads but not buy an new base.

If your base is newer than 87 and you use "old heads" you'll have to elongate the center holes in your intake.

the motor is a 92 tpi. would older style heads be a good hp upgrade for my motor.

They are easy to get and can build them just as cheep.

For the work... no not really...

Port the ones you have or go aftermarket

unless they're vortecs GM casting gen 1 heads all make limited power, vortecs still being only slightly above average.

What kind of increase will port & polish, bowl work and bigger valves do for my stock heads? Is it worth it to spend money on the stock heads?

Is it possible to get my car into the high 13's with work to my stock setup.

I dont want a full out race car, I just want to make noticably more power than stock.

thanks for any help you can give me.
