Will vette heads boost compression??

The L98 Corvette heads are one of the many that I'm considering for my TPI swap, since they are 58cc chambers will that up compression? If it does then how much because I want to keep my stock bottom end for now....I remember a post a while back that debated wether the 58cc cumbustion chambers would up compression over the standard 64cc chambers on iron heads.

Changing from 64 to 58cc chambers will up the compression no matter what if everything else stays the same. I think its about 1/2 point it will go up. You'd want that anyway with aluminum heads, they need higher compression to make up for the power loss over cast iron.

yes it definately will bump compression up to about 10.1 to 10.2, it all depends on if you had any machining done, head gasket thickness blah blah.

but figure about a .8 gain in compression.
