will alum. D-ports work with TES headers?

Will I have a problem with using vette aluminum D-ports with eldelbrock tes?

The old 1 1/2" headers definitely will not work, in my opinion. The L98 aluminum heads have raised exhaust ports, and they wont line up. The newer 1 5/8" headers, should be ok, but you should check it. I used SLP 1 5/8" headers on mine and it was ok, and now I have SLP 1 3/4" headers.

The brace bar that goes from the back of the alt to the exhaust manifold bolt needs a little grinding for clearance, otherwise it contacts the header primary.

Same problem for the brace bar from the back of the A/C bracket to the exh manifold, but there's also bending involved. It's covered in the Edelbrock instructions.

I also added some heat-resistant insulation to the knock sensor harness and connector hood, same for the coolant fan switch and O2 sensor. The conduit for these is close to the header primaries so you want to keep the heat away.

Yah, they bolt up, but do they line up? There's got to be a serious port miss-match with the smaller headers and the higher port.

And 12.9 @ 107? Thats with nitrous, right? Nitrous will make anything better.

Steve86TA if you alredy have the TES's than they will work, but Kevin91Z has a good point if you are thinking about bying them don't. I am only using them because I had them on my old motor and did not want to front the money for a new set at the same time I was doing all the other stuff. If you are bying new headers don't get the TES's get the big SLP's or Hooker long tubes (get the Hooker long tubes).

yeah thats a 75shot with about 600psi in the bottle, not exactly optimal but yes that was with nitrous.

Also, Im sorry... I just went out and checked and I have the 1 5/8 headers all the way around.. so my info. was incorrect.
I've had these for over a year now and I just assumed I had the older ones since I got them so long ago.

Sorry for the bad info

They will work, but they leave a lot of room for improvement.
