i hate to tell you this but yes they are the same. same part number, same part, same connector plug in. and seeing as how i relocated my MAT with a coolant temp sensor for an 88 corvette and it plugged right in, it works.

You need a MAT sensor for a 92 and up TPI/LT1..NOT a coolant temp sensor. Leave your current sensor in. I recomment TPIS relocation kit for $35....comes with everything you need and the new wire harness has a nice heat sheild on it...well worth the price.

thanks thats what I needed, I actually dont have to extend anythine with the set up I have, I have a harwood cowl induction hood and made an air cleaner for it, so Ill put the air temp sensor in that and the plug should be just the right length.

the sensor Im looking for is not a closed element sensor like the stock screw in MAT or the temp sensor, its a plastic open element sensor for faster and more accurate reading od the incoming air.
