Still undecided on friggin cam!!!HELP
hey guys, I am still very indecisive regarding my cam selection for my 383 TPI(not built yet). My camaro has a '88 corvette L-98 with the factory aluminum heads, 700r4 tranny(B&M), 9-bolt(3:27)rear, probably going with a 2500 stall converter, headers(no cats), 3"flowmaster exhaust. The stroker kit I purchased comes with a eagle cast crank, eagle rods, kieth brown pistons, clevite rings, mogul bearings. I will be retaining the factory intake tpi set-up for now(on budget), I am leaning towards the lt4 hc kit, will I need another burnt chip? The one I currently have has the emissions control removed as well as the vats, I will be getting head/plenum/runners/intake ported, matched etc.
i would probably go with duration something like mine, but i would get one with higher lift. something like 530+. it all depends on what you are going to be doing with the car. you will also need a chip to get the car to run at its potential.

Anyways, get something around 224/230 @.050 something with .550ish lift, and 112 lsa, anything int hat area will work good, hot cam would even work but personaly i'd want a little more.
