Can the Holley Fuel injected intake similar to the miniram be purchased yet? I heard that a few guys on the Corvette board has them with the fuel rail up & running!

Yeah you can buy them but I believe they are backorderd badly.....Plus that thing sits Seriously HIGH.....I sincerely doubtthat it would fit under a stock hood...I bet on a Firebird you would probably need a 4" cowl to clear it.....
Its NOTHING like a Miniram.... Miniram sits low.... This thing looks like the BIG BLOCK tpi tunnel ram ...Ive got some pics of it here and its very very tall...Id still love to have one though... :-)

Check out the Whats New section at http://www.holley.com/ Its called the Stealth Ram and yes its available.
Well there was some debate about whether it was going to be available as intake parts or only a stand alone unit. First they said both, then they said just a stand alone, now I think they're saying both again, but not sure on that. The price though I don't remember exactly was very high. Between a complete superram (plenum, runners, and base) and a miniram, yet it also requires specific fuel rail, so in the end I it ended up being more than either. Now this was 2-3 weeks ago, they might've wised up since then.

I suspect that it will easily fit under an f-body hood. It sits a tad too high to fit under a Vette hood, and a stock TPI setup sits 3/4" from the vette hood. I don't think this setup is more than an inch higher than the TPI setup, and if there's room for a strut tower brace over the TPI on an f-body, there's gotta be room for a taller intake.

I sent an email to Holley, and I also called Summit about it. The guy from Summit is supposed to talk to a guy from Holley tomorrow about it, and he will call me back tomorrow about pricing and availability. I'm hoping this thing is under $1000. If it is, count me in. Cuz this thing looks bad *** and should make plenty of power

The complete kit is around $2700 including injectors, ecm, harness, etc, throttle body, etc.
For just the manifold, it's around $400, and $175 for the fuel rails. That's the only stuff you'll need unless you decide to upgrade injectors, throttle body, etc.
After I see how other people run with it, I'll probably get one unless I decide it's too much intake for my crap heads & cam. So far it looks very promising. Each runner can flow 300cfm, but their shape makes the powerband stay at a reasonable level, lower than the miniram. This should mean that you can make stupid amounts of power in a streetable rpm band.

i was told it was 265 for upper and lowe rmanifold and 165 for the fuel rails. the part numbers are 7540, not 7590 like stated above and the part number for the fuel rails is 834-185.

so what vendors can you order this from now? i'm interested in ordering it soon, especially if it's backordered, and will no doubt take a while to get to me.

You should be able to order it from anybody that sells Holley
Don't expect it for a very long time though. They're going to allocate all of the production toward the $2700 complete systems until all of that demand is met before they start selling the bare manifolds in any quantity.

On your 383, any long tube runner setup is a complete waste of time. Your choices should be Super Ram, miniram or this. Considering the costs, this is definately something you should look into.

i've got my speed parts guy looking into how he can get his hands on the manifolds and fuel rails. as soon as i know something ill let ya'll know (after i get mine of course.. hehe)...
So this is supposed to work as a direct replacement on a stock GM TPI system? Can you use other runners with it, and will all sensors and stuff bolt right up, or is it one of those tricky proprietary things designed to work exclusivley with THe total Holley package like the Holley 500-1 TBI for the projection system? Thanks Guys, I'd be interested if it was direct OEM compatible, I'm new to TPI.

as far as i understand its a direct replacement. its made to work with our stock heads but you can always have some vortec heads machined to work (my plan). just looking at their intake manifold you could do some porting on it and it seems like it would be rather simple to port. my plan is to use it as a replacement for my stock intake and i want to begin writing my own chips for my car and see what works best.

They list the fuel rail 'Accessory kit' for $173.69.
So that means $279.99 + $173.69 = $453.68..... That has got to be one of the most affordable options out there (aside from modding an LT1 intake to work of course).
But I would like to see some dimensions, flow figures, and dyno results before I would consider going with this over an LT1 intake...
It is still great news that this more affordable option exists!

Oooo Ahhhhh Cool This may be the Intake I have been waiting for if anybody gets one of these let me know how everything turns out. Ports look short enough and wide enough to make some nice power with my 383. Should be at least a little bit better than my stock TPI. LOL

I just called my local holley distributer. He's got no listings for those part numbers. He's got to call me back. I'm really leaning toward getting this stuff and tossing the SLP runners aside.
The more I think about this, the more indecisive I get.

Local guy got back to me. $395 for the manifold & plenum, $219 for the fuel rails. No thanks.
I'm all for buying local, but not when they are 25% higher than everybody else.

Hey, I talked to a rep named Andy at Summit he said the manifold is not really on back order it is a special order item , they dont stock it yet but if you order it now they would expect it in around the end of April. Price $279.99. Forgot to ask about the fuel rail. The summit # is HLY-7540 for the manifold. Later, Dave

My local guy said the same thing about the special-order, but didn't have a time frame.
Anyway... good info. Thanks.

I browsed over to corvetteforum to read up on the Stealth Ram and someone posted that you have to use a small cap distributor. Is this true?
Thanks,
David

Judging by its size, I'd say that's a good possibility. None of us have it yet, so nobody's really sure.
Anyway, my local guy got back to me: $400 for the manifold, $215 for the fuel rails. I said no thanks. So far Summit has the best prices I've found. $280 for the manifold and $174 for the rails. Their part numbers are: HLY-7540 and HLY-534-185.

mine will be ordered tomorrow... manifold will be here in 2 days, fuel rails in ac ouple weeks. manifolds for no more than 300 and fuel rails for no more than 200... and this hopefully wont be like when i ordered my triple guage pod from a "friends" shop and was told they'd have it the next day which turned into 'i still dont have it'. as soon as i have my hands on one, ya'll will know. im getting it through a shop my friend and his family use for all their race car equipment and the shop is getting through someone who is buying the kits and splitting them up. i really cant get the parts for anyone else, otherwise i'd offer to get them for you guys and you just pay cost + shipping. ill letcha know what it ends up costing me and post pictures asap.

UMM why would the small cap distributer be a problem??? I mean did any thirdgens have the Coil in Cap HEI like the vette had... By small distributer on a vette they mean an Fbody TPI one...

talked to tom at holley. the intake is 1/4" taller than stock, level plenum. the stock plenum slopes downward in the front. the stock fuel rails might work. if not then 9900-172 id the fuel rail kit. comes with fuel rails, regulator, crossover tube, and AN fittings for the fuel line. will need to fab lines to conect to the stock lines.
