How much power???

Alright, I founnd a new performance shop today and the owner has an 85' IROC auto and he took the origional 305 out and built a 383 with ported and polished Edelbrock aluminum heads, forged internals, and 6" rods. He put a carbed setup on it and ran it on an engine dyno, it ran somthing like 540fwhp at around 5800 rpm and 560fwtq at 3900rpm (I don't remember the exact numbers). He has a full TPIS LTR setup which is also match ported and polished that he is putting on when he installs the engine. He says that he will gain power by going from a carbed setup to the LTR's, am I correct by thinking that the TPI will choke off some of his hp instead of giving him more? What kind of rear wheel numbers will he have with the TPI and going through the driveline?

I doubt any LTR setup can support more than 450 fwhp and it sure won't be at 5800 rpm. With a miniram he may pick up a few hp if he's lucky. It's pretty hard to beat an aftermarket carb and good intake as far as peak hp goes. LTR setups don't make high peak hp LTR=low/mid rpm torque=good for trucks.
