Engine Problems after rebuild...w/in

OK about 6 months ago I had the engine rebuilt after breaking some pistons... It was opened up to a 355 and I added forged internals to keep the thing from coming apart under boost... While in there I added a cam/springs and a torque converter.... I also had the heads redone and some other small stuff....

ANYWAY when I got to the track at the end of last year I noticed a problem....The car would not Build power very well...It "seems to run fine on the street but its WEAK" Atnthe time I assumed that my stock fuel system was the problem so I bought a lot of stuff over the winter to help it out... I added a new walbro pump. new -6 Lines a new filter and #24 injectors.... tHEN i ADDED A VORTECH BLOWER TO REPLACE THE PAXTON...

Get to the track this year and its the same BS... The car just wont pull..... it sits there like 4200.....4200.....4230......4240...... End of track and redicilous MPH and ET...

I am assuming it is an ignityion problem like Maybe I put the timing chain on a tooth off??? But if I did that I would assume it would POP or something....This just runs like its was out of time YET the timing is at 6 deg per factory specs..

Diacom says everything is normal...Yets is far from normal...

Only code I get is a MYSTERIOUS occasional code for the MAF Burnoff relay...Ive replaced it a few times but it still comes back now and then..

There is No cat to be plugged, there is not EGR, No Charcoal canister to malfunction....Basically It has to be ignition or a sensor problem? Fuel pressure is FINE...

Any thoughts on thois would be appreciated as Im pulling my hair out looking at this... My car ran mid 12's at about 113 MPH before the engine blew NOW I cant even get that after adding a MUCH larger blower, cam, springs, 3.70 gears, ect ect....

And to add to this which isthe first thing Im checking.... When I rebuoilt the otor it had a BAD miss.... I found out my pick up coil was bad...I replaced it and the miss seemed to go away... I am suspecting that mayber the ignition module is bad???? Could a bad ignition module still allow the car to run BUT give it RPM related power problems???

Basically at the track from like the 1/8 mile point on the car Barely Pulls at all.... My 1/8 mile MPH and my 1/4 mile are within 7 MPH...Which is BS...The whole run the casr is slow but 3rd gear it Just sits at 42 4300 and Does not hardly move...

Take the ignition module to an auto parts store, they can test them.
Yes, a car can run seemingly normal with a bad ignition module but really crap out under load.

Definatley sounds like ignition. I wouldnt even bother having them test the module, just buy a new one, and MAKE SURE to use dielectric grease!

make sure you don't have any burned or crossed plug wires. stupid and obvious yes, but you may have overlooked something.

Yeah Ill start with the module...I "should" have replaced it when I found the bad pick up coil... The wires Ive been through already...I checked them and even checked the connections on them...SO they "should" be OK....

The thing is if I drive it on the street it runs seemingly perfect... Hell if I knew nothing about how the car "should" run with the mods I would think there was no problem....Thats what is wierd....
