Pressed on.
Put a nut on the stud til its flush with the stud top. Spray some wd-40 on there. Let loose with the 3Lb hammer.
Draw the new ones in with a nut.

All GM wheels studs are pressed in.

Although you can use a nut, with a bunch of washers, to pull in a new stud, you risk stripping the treads on the stud. By pulling it in you are actually stretching the stud. You'd never dare do that with a rod bolt. The proper way to install a stud is to press it back it or at least hammer it in but never pull it in.

Front rotors need to be removed to replace a stud. Rear axles should be removed but if installing factory length studs there may be enough room to swing a hammer from behind to drive the new stud into the axle.
