Changing shift points on a 1984 700R4

I just got my 350 in my car, and well the 4500 rpm shift point was peachy for the 305, the 350's power peak is at 5300 or so. Id like to move my shift point to 5500 or so, and was wondering how i'd go about doing this. Anyone who has done this or knows how please help, i dont have a clue.

The weights and springs in the governor control the shift points. There are kits available to recalibrate. Raising the shift point requires shaving a bit off of the weights.

I found that when I played with the TV cable adjustment it would change my shift point! I don't know if this is the right way to do it or not but it worked for me! You might want to check with somebody that has a little more info on this to see if it would hurt anything.
