T5 vibration problem
I’ve got a vibration problem on my 82 305 (LU5) with a T5. If I push in the clutch with the T5 in gear while driving at 60-70 mph I get a vibration. I’m pretty sure it’s not the engine or the flywheel because the engine is at idle and the vibration still exists. I’m thinking it’s either the clutch disc or the drive shaft. Could it be that when the clutch is engaged the engine absorbs the vibration? Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Ken

i have a similar problem with my 84 S/E T/A LG4 T5. At 60 and above the car vibrates.
on your car, does this only happen between 60-70? what gear(s)? is it only when you disenguage the clutch (pedal pressed to the floor)?

I've got 3.42 gears. I guess the problem starts aroung 60mph and gets worse as speed increases. I noticed yesterday that the vibration also occurs when the transmission is in neutral and the clutch is released when speed is over 60 mph. It must be the driveshaft or the transmission.

i dont think it has anything to do with the gears in the rear. my vibration starts at 60 too, and i have 3.73 's.
you should set the rear up on jack stands and run it up to 60mph
to see if the vibration is still there. if it is then you know you can rule out the front causing the vibration. now you know it's something from the tranny back. driveshaft,u-joints,rear axle, tires need balencing,or mayby your really low on tranny or rear end fluid that it just causes the vibs
