trans fluid change

Well, it's true you can't get even half of the oil out of the trans, but if a 'perfectionist' job of changing as much fluid as you can get to... Remove the tans cooler line from the radiator, stick a piece of hose over it and start the car. It will gush out of there until almost every drop is out.... You may need a hand with this as you do not want to idle it for any extended period of time after the flow stops. Although not as bad as running a motor without oil, it can get hard on the pump vanes... well anyway...

The short method (garage fluid change...)

Grab a 3/8" rachet, an extention, and a 13mm socket and drop the pan. Grab the filter and rip it down. Make sure the o-ring (IMPORTANT!!!) comes out of the filter bore, if not use a pick or something to get it out. Stick in a new filter, clean pan good (Especially the magnet area) replace pan, refill with funnel through the dipstick tube w/ 2 qts of fluid (Use 4 qts if you completly drained it). Start car, idle, check level, bring to full cold mark.... DO NOT OVERFILL!!!

Hope this helps.
