Help my tranny its weird!!!!!!!!!!!
i have a 1991 camaro z28 v8 305 tpi it has 160k miles and i dunno what tranny it has and also if i accelerate sometimes the rpms go high and the speed doesnt change (auto tranny) its almost like if i were in a manual transmition and pressing the clutch while im accelerating im really worried please help me do i have to rebuild???????? \

your transmission is a 700r4. The feeling your getting is generally referred to as a slipping transmission, I'd get ready for a rebuild.
I just had the same thing happen to me, the transmission was slipping for a while then one day i went to go wash her and I had no 3rd gear
, it would just go into neutral. On the upside, I'd be happy you got 160k out of your tranny
