Will TransGo kit help lower times?
I have a B&M kit right now. Heres whats happening. First: If Im not carefull, on acceleration it feels like the Tranny gets into 4th. It feels like starting out in second gear in a manual. No pull. This happens if I mat the pedal. 2nd: When I do get it righ I usually will not see past 3800 to 4000 RPM under accelearation. The gears start switching at that point. If I try it manually from 1st through overdrive the car kicks out of gear at around 4000 RPM, and violontly re engages as the car slows down. Im thinking im losing out on what the engine can offer since im not getting the top RPM out of it. Will a reprograming of the tranny fix this?
Thanks

Geez, even with a lower quality kit like the B&M one it shouldn't be doing that. Me thinks you or whoever installed the kit left something amiss.
But the Transgo kit is an awesome upgrade. Really can't go wrong with it. The cars that I have ridden in that have the kit installed/I installed the kit into, with the vette servo and bigger boost valve, shift awesome. Totally positive and stout shifts. One of the trans I put it ( A Jr. kit with the vette servo) in has about 60k on it now and it still shifts perfectly and will knock your spleen loose on the 1-2 shift
