Getting Tranny And Gears Have A Few Questions???
Getting Tranny And Gears Have A Few Questions???
Im getting my tranny rebuilt with trans go and vett servo and having 3.42's installed soon after.
700r4 and 2.73's now
should i upgrade to the s10 or vett stall converter? mostly stock LB9(planning a 350 in a few months)or is a new stock converter ok for me, its a daily driver raced on the weekend for fun mostly street racing. (cant afford a high priced converter thats why im looking at the stock GM converters)
also is there anything that needs to be done in the rebuild to accomidate the lower gears, like govener adjustment etc?
need help ?
THANKS

How do i match a converter to my setup
what stall should i look for? and would the vett or S10 converter make a diff in 1/4 times and acceleration?
im on a budget(tight 1 at that) so the rebuild and gears are putting a hurting on me as it is. I can upgrade to the vett converter for a few bucks more than the original replacement.
so would the higher stall help me with the 305 and still work when i swap engines (only looking at about a 300 to 330 horse 350 in the next few months probably about a year from now realistcly)
thanks
