The converter for the 2.8Liter S10 is pretty small. Will it work with a v8 engine? What's the stall?

they do indeed work, there a "poor mans stall" you can get one out of a S10 or old vega and they will give you a good stall for a cheap price.

The 2.8L S-10 Converter does not swap in place of a V-8 Converter.

Check this sit out http://www.theherd.com/articles/torque.html Also there is place in NJ Turbine Tech 1-888-674-8841 www.transstuff@aol.com that has higher stall converters pretty cheap. One of the guys on here droped 4 tenths with the Turbine Tech.I called a couple of months ago and they were around $220 for a 2400 stall.
