Need Help / Advice...
OK, my latest streak of bad luck has apparently not ended yet. I finally got aroudn to installing my new tranny cooler yesterday. I was using adapters fo go from the inverted flare into my -6 braided lines for the cooler. I got everything hooked up, but one of the fittings into my cooler was messed up and has a slow leak once all buttoned up and running so the project had to be scrapped and i hooked the stock cooler back-up.
This morning i go to drive it and my trans is shifting WAY WAY late. It is not however shifting at WOT shift points, there is still some range to it, but it is shifting part throttle at like 4k just about.
Now yes i refilled my fluid when i swapped coolers yesterday, and i even verified things this morning and it's just over the full hot mark when hot (because i did have to drive it today, shifting way late or not).
I also verified the TV cable and it's still good. I tried p[laying with the throttle anbd the cable to see if the TV valve was suddenly sticking but it made no change.
As for the cooler itself, i blew it and my braided lines out before i used them, but i guess i can't completely discount the possibility of contamination.
So at this point, what can i do? I was thinking of ripping the governor out and trying a spare i have to see if thats the issue since thats relativley easy. When it does shift, it shifts very firm so i don't think it's a clogged filter, but i guess thats the next and only other idea i have to try. What about those power flushes that some places advertise, would something like that be a worthwhile shot since they seem to use to the cooler lines for their power flushing and thats my best guess as to where/how contaminants could have came from? Should i just light the car on fire and call it a day?

Some "magic" things appears in car's electric or mechanics systems, but they are only coincidences. (For example, I disconnected the fan switch and the car no more started. The coincidence was : the battery had died the previous nigth).
The last week-end I installed the cooler and inline filter without problem. I refilled the fluid.
Before install the in line filter, I disconnected the upper line(fitting) at radiator and then my wife started the car. At 2-3 seconds the ATF fluid was expelled for the radiator hole. This was my test about the "return line". Then I installed the in line filter with the arrow in the right direction.
The arrow in your filter is O.K.?

Denis V.
