im building up a 383 stroker and i heard that the newer 700r4's are stronger....and my bro has a 92 sitting in the garage...im sure he will sell it to me for cheap and i could put a performance rebuild kit in it........do the 92's have the same problem where u have to let off to half throttle b4 it will shift into OD?

cuz my friend has a 90 camaro RS and he can keep it to the floor and it will shift into OD no problem....but i have to let off to 1/2 throttle........

Yes, the later model R4's have upgraded parts in them to be more reliable. Go for it. Go with a TransGO kit.

As far as I know all the R4's do not shift at WOT (cop cars not included) all you have to get is a B&M kickdown valve. That will solve the problem.
