Engine: 350
Transmission: 700 R4
Axle/Gears: yup, it has a peg leg
need tranny

ok well my tranny is slippin so will be getting a new one or rebuilt but what is the best for me I curently have a 305 (stock 92 RS) and will be putting in a 350 so will be any probs switching or should i just wait till I get the engine (350) first then the tranny or vise-versa

also what tranny is good????????????

by the way what did my car come with again it is a 92 rs with a 305 tbi

ok what do ya'll think of a turbo 350 please at least giove me feedback bout a turbo 350

I would think you have a 700r4 tranny. It is a 4 speed auto unit. You could get it rebuilt or buy a new one. If you get a quality rebuild/new you shouldn't have any problems with a stock 350 engine. The th350 3 speed auto tranny is very heavy duty and would likely hold up better than a 700r4. But, you only get a 1:1 third gear whereas the 700r4 gives you .70:1 overdrive. Much better highway cruising with a 700r4. If you really want to do it up right check out my web site for info on converting to a th400/Gear Vendors combo. Very expensive tho.
