i would add that i at least couldn't find the 200r4 driveshaft.i bought a used one from a full size car at a junkyard and had it shortened.while you have it out, if you have the cash get new tranny mounts.i used that setup for awhile. i had aproblem with the front driveshaft knuckle hitting the tunnel when shifting into 2nd and 3rd. i used abmr torque arm setup that uses its own crossmember. don't flame me guys i know spohn makes it too- i got a deal on the bmr.of course if your not making as much power you might not have that problem
I just got done with mine.
For some unknown reason my 86 already had the TH200 transmission and the crossmember and driveshaft works right. I did the B&M torque arm braket and it worked great. You may be able to use your 700r4 crossmember because the kit had an adapter plate for a crossmember that I didn't have to use. You will need a new kickdown cable and probably a new dipstick and tube
BTW the driveline you want from the wrecking yard is from a TH200 car and not a TH200r4. It is like from 82 to 84.
Does any body know how to adjust the shift points on a TH350?
Mine is shifting at about 2000 rpms with WOT/

I did this. its not fun. I did it on a budget however, so those of you lucky enough to afford a B&M torque arm bracket are... lucky.
I welded my own torque arm bracket, you will need one of them, B&M sells them of course. if your driveshaft is too long you can have a place shorten it instead of getting a new one, this is better than getting a used one since they balance it too which is important. new tranny mount helps. My crossmember needed a plate welded onto it also to make the tranny mount line up. I did alot of fabrication and welding and melting and bending, took me a few days, but i didnt have to spend a ton of money. to each, his own.

If your TH350 is shifting too soon you can get an adjustable vaccume modulator from summit for like $20.00 and install it then adjust it to make the tranny shift whenever you want. thats what i did, anyways. it does require a certain amount of vaccume tho, so if you have like 350 degrees of duration on your cam it prolly wont work

i talked to steve at spohn and he has a kit with a adj torq arm and crossmember that bolts to frame and not the tranny for about 350.00 i thought about that because he said the b/m kit is cheasy and might break its weak?

A little spendy, but I've heard nothing but good about his products.....His stuff "looks" tough. Here is the B&M product,,,cheesy is a good choice of words...but also only $90 at Summit. (For about $5.00 worth of hardware)

i did that swap in my 82 a while back, easy, cost me 100 for the trans. (i got it all back because i parted out the car) and 75 for the bm tailshaft, everything else worked, i shift it manualy all the time and it still works great, oh by the way craig, a tranny mount would of solved you problem with the drive shaft hitting, i broke mine, replaced it, now its fine.
