VSS for the T56 question.

I did a search, never found a similar problem, so hear goes. I got the Dakota Digital box, wired everything up. Speedo don't work. Double check power and ground, both good. Checked all the splices and crimp connections, all good. Check input signal, nothing. Unhook both leads for the VSS input, drive around, no signal. Ground one lead and drive around, still no signal.
Now, I'm assuming that the VSS on the T56 is a signal pulse generator, therefore producing it's own voltage, and I should be able to read an output voltage with my multimeter. Am I wrong? Or am I correct and have a faulty VSS on the tranny? Any help is appreciated! Later

I had this same problem. I ended up using different switch settings as the input and different output terminals. If i get a chance, I will pull the console and see what I ended up using.
