My 91 RS 305/tbi started to act weird today. I was driving it and it wouldn't go past 25 mph while at the same time revving at 2000+ rpms. What is going on here? Could this be a bad tranny or just a speed sensor? If it is the speed sensor, where is that located? Is is easy to replace? I really need help guys.

May be a stripped governor gear. It's under the round cover on the drivers side of the trans.
