Clutch not releasing
My clutch pedal is real squishy for the first half of the travel, then feels like normal, but because of the initial squish, the slave cylinder doesn't move enough to release the clutch.
I bled it according to the GM manual:
1) Gravity bleed the slave cylinder till no air comes out.
2) Refil resevoir, cap it up, slowly press the slave in with 20lbs, open bleeder to get air out of slave.
3) Refil resevoir, cap it up, keep bleeder closed, work the slave cylinder to force air back up into the resevoir.
It _does_ kinda feel like there is air in the system, but I bled it twice, and tried to be careful. What else could be the problem?

Lemme refine that a little:
The pedal just pushes down 1/2 way, like its only being held up by the minute spring force in the master cylinder, then it starts working.

SOLVED: Clutch not releasing
The throwout bearing was not installed correctly (by myself).
The spring jobbies on the end of the fork were stuck over the rearside flange on the bearing, wasing some of the clutch travel before the fork would contact the surface of the bearing.
Solution: Fix the throwout bearing. First, rip the fork off the bearing, then stuff it back on properly. Damn, thats a whole lot easier than removing the engine and trans. Especially since I just did it this weekend to change the oil filter... (had to put on a remote filter mount cause you can't get the filter off with the headers on...)
