Hurst Dual Gate-2 owners, please step inside...
I have a couple of questions. First off, how exactly does it work when it doesn't have a button like the stock shifter does? I've never really understood aftermarket auto shifters that much. Do you just hit the brakes and pull the shifter to Drive or what? Or is there a button/lever that I don't see in the pics? And in the second gate with only the 4 forward gears, if they aren't ratchet how do they work then? How does it keep me from missing shifts? Do I just slam it forward and it'll only go up one gear from 1st to 2nd, then 2nd to 3rd, and then 3rd to 4th? I've already searched and people have tried to explain it, but they just aren't that clear to me. Thanks.
Also, I'd like to hear opinions, if you have the Dual Gate-2, what problems did you have? I want to get a general idea of how many people really had problems. If you could do it all over again, would you get the B&M megashifter? I'm tempted to go with the Megashifter since I know Mark has one and he hasn't had problems with it, and also used the stock cable, plus the Megashifter is a good 100$ cheaper(I'm a poor high school kid).
Don't get me wrong though, I'd LOVE to have the Hurst name in my car, it's just I don't want to waste 200$ on a flaming POS.

Yeah, but it seems like everybody is having problems with their shifters, be it the Megashifter or the Dual Gate. Only person I've seen that didn't have a problem with their shifter was Mark and his Megashifter. Maybe you did just get a lemon? I'd really like to get the dual gate if at all possible...
So all I do is bang it, and I have to let go and bang it again to up shift?

Lol, this is what I'm talking about here, it seems like everyone, no matter what shifter they have, has problems with them. Are people abusing them? Are they literally SLAMING it through the gears or something?
