Auto --> manual swap.... console??

What console are you people running... the thirdgen T5 console from a junk yard or a T56 console out of a 4th gen?

I appreciate it, thanx.

COnsole is the same, all you need is the top plate from a manual car.

Although a console from a 4th gen would look nice.

Really? You mean that the automatic console is the same except there is a plate that sits on top with the 1,2,D,OD plate and small shifter for auto and then a manual one with a big hole for a stick?

If so... awesome. Changing as little as possible is a bonus.

Yeah, just a half dozen screws (more or less) and you can install a manual shifter plate.

I had a spare laying around here some where but I don't know where

I think I might, but it needs the leather boot repaired or replaced.
I'll take a look this weekend and let you know.

Thanks a million. But my car is an 82 so the console is different than an 89 or so.
