I am rebuilding my 700 tranny. I have a choice of the standard rebuild or the b&m trans pack with the better clutches and other stuff.
You guys say that the b&m is bad for the tranny. Is this one okay to use???

The trans pak isn't a rebuild kit.. it's a shift kit.
There's NO difference between the $25 Shift Improver Kit and the $45 TransPak for the 700r4 automatic!!! None! Okay, well, there's one- the TransPak comes with a new filter. That's it! I can get a 700r4 filter from Pep Boys for $10.
Pro Built, are B&M's rebuild kits bad also? I thought it was just their shift kits.

the kit the guy wants to use is the b&m rebuild kit. It has better clutches and other things too.
What do you guys think. Shell out the cash or just go with the stock rebuild?
No transgo right now. I have no money. too bad for me.

B&M shift kits suck... they bang way to hard and cause the tranny to blow... I am speaking out of experience. I hear nothing but good things about TransGo... and the probuilt guy definetly knows what he is talking about... so avoid B&M if at all possible.

so even the b&m clutches would be bad?
The guy tells me they could last a bit longer than the stock.
Wouldn't the b&m be better than no shift kit at all?
Thanks for the help guys...As usual.

Remember this is the full kit with b&m clutches and bands and stuff. This is not just the shift kit.
Is this better for me to use than stock or should I go with the regular rebuild and have no shift kit???
My option is b&m or nothing. that is it.
