700r4 shifting into OD the second I let off the gas in 3rd gear. It will do it as long as the car has shifted into 3rd already, doesent matter if its lugging around in 3rd at 25mph if you let off the gas it will shift into OD. Other than that the transmission shifts fine. T.V. cable is properly adjusted, no slipping what so ever.
What do you guys think?

 

Mine does the same thing, but I think this is normal? I say normal since its the TQ locking up. When the load is light enough the TQ will lock.

 

when i am at a light and im in overdrive if i just give alittle gas like the tranny shifts gears at like 2,000 rpm, and if i tap the gas alittle more and the tranny shifts at a higer rpm range but it still shifts into overdrive right afer i let off the gas..

thats what overdrive is for, saves gas!

I'm not too sure none of my other car's that had 700r4's in them did this of course they all had newer transmissions.
This one will shift into 4th the split second I let off the gas in OD, if I lightly get back in it will shift into 3rd.
I usually leave the trans in D until I'm at a reasonable speed then shift into OD "like were supposed to" but I noticed this while I was on the Interstate stuck in stop and go traffic. I could be paranoid, but better safe then out $750 bucks.
