put the new trans in. just wondering when i manually shift it seems like it is to easy to skip 2nd gear. i noticed the bracket the shift cable attaches to is rectangular where should i tighten down the nut and bolt? and could this be the problem with the easy miss shift?

 

try moving the cable by the trans (ya know the one on the drivers side)....move that puppy a little forward (make ssure car is in neutral), tighten it up and test it out.
