I have a 1984 Z28 5.0 Liter H.O. This is my very first car that I just purchased. I wanted to see if anybody knows what kind of transmission i have. The guy i baught it from just said it was the stock tranny, it has a B&M shifter on it, but i really just want to know what kind of Tranny it has in it. Also, I've been reading the boards and from what i've read it comes stock with 2.73 gears, I want to swap them for a posi setup, what would be the best setup you guys would suggest? Also, how much would this cost me, and do you guys think that its do-able for someone who isn't really experienced too much with this stuff, or should I have it done professionaly. Thanks

 

it's either a t-5 manual 5 speed or a 700R4 automatic 4 speed.
