My trans is making a squeeling noise at lower speeds under partial throttle. I can get it to make the noise if I just cruise steady in 2nd or 3rd gear at 30-40mph. It sounds as if it's coming from the torque converter or at least the front of the trans. I have a new Hughes 2500 stall converter along with a TransGo shift improver kit and modifed governor. The trans has 48,000 miles on it and 400lbs of torque in front of it...

Does anyone have an idea what the noise might be? The trans seems to shift very well and doesn't slip from what I can tell if that helps any.

 

Someone has had this problem before, right?
