I know it's not thirdgen related but it's topic related...

My friend have a 1973 Nova, he have a 307 with a powerglide,
will his powerglide bolt right up on a Big block? if not is there any kits? He realy like powerglide tranny, i dont know why he want to stick with that 2 speed tranny...

Anyone know? :P

thanx

The transmission will bolt right up. The converter bolts may not line up with the holes in his flywheel though. If they dont you can get a flywheel that will work.

Shooot man, powerglide are very popular for big blocks with big horse power.
Just take a look-see at the summit or jegs catalog, at all the stuff you can buy for them!!!!!!!!!!!

Only 2 forward speeds though

Powerglides work best with a light car. Cars over 3000 pounds benifit more from a 3 speed.
