differences b/w 93-97 T56 and 98+

so.....i know there is a tech article....but i dont know the guy that wrote it.

so i am verifying the info in here..

so i have a 98 T56....i can use the input shaft, bellhousing and case cover (with clutch fork pivot)(from a 93-97) and i will be able to use LT1 clutch and i can bolt it up to my 90 small block??

edit.....i meant if i exchange those parts for 93-97...thanks

nooooooo, I hope you haven't attempted yet. The 98+ T56 transmissions will bolt up to the small block 350. The input shaft is totally different and I believe the bellhousing won't work either. I would recommend trading your T56 for a 94-97 T56 so that it will bolt on to yours. Please ask me if you have any more questions.

right...i know...thats why i said...i would have to use a LT1 clutch.

Its not worth tearing the tranmission apart to just change the input shaft unless you are gonna get the transmission rebuild anyway.
