1yr wty, I thought was high, 3 others shops about the same .Never had to mess with tranes much.

sorry to break it to you, but that seems reasonable.
I paid 850$$ for mine, but I took the tranny out of the car myself.

Why dont you just buy a TH700 from Pro-built and it is TOP quality!

yeah, I got a 1 year/12000 mile warranty.

I have since passed that, and everytime I have a trans problem, like a leak or something, they fix it for free.

I would say go to a private garage, dont go to a chain. They dont care as much.

My friend lost his tranny went to junkyard found a wrecked cop car got the tranny for 300bucks. This will get him by untill he decides what to do with his old one.

Wow,consider yourself lucky im in canada and when mine went "boom" she cost 3000.00 to BUILD a 700
mindyou that is not stock at all...sigh

I had my 700R4 rebuilt about 3 years ago and it has run fine. It cost me over $1200 to have it done. since, I have added a 350 4 bolt main to my TPI and an COMP CAM with headers and such lots of little upgrades. I now wish I had bought one of the B&M race prepped 700-R4's. Same price and I could have been set up for this engine. I have some bad shaking going on and just had my u-joints replaced.
