700r-4 last copnnection,i need to take off,but dont know how

hi,
im taking out my 700r-4 out of a 86 z28,and would like to know how to take that thing out on the passenger side,it had a bolt from the top,its about,1/2-3/4 the way back the transmission, like opposite the speedometer cable,i took the bolt out,and pulled up on the hose type thing, and then all the fluid started flowing out of it,any help is greatly appreciated.
thanks.

I think that you are referring to the TV cable. It controls the shifting and fluid pressure of the transmission. You need to unhook it up on the intake. It is next to the throttle cable on the plenum. In order to take it out from the bottom, like you tried, you need to take the pan off and unhook it next to the valve body. So just unhook it on the plenum and drop the entire cable with the tranny.

hes right but you dont need to drop the pan inorder to disconect it. get it disconected from the carb/throtle body, then take the bolt out. then your gonna need some angled needle nose pliers....pull up on the black cable housing untill you see the hook, and the part its hooking into. grab the part its going into with the pliers, then remove the hook part. same thing goes for instaling it (but reversed)
