I am looking for a new torque converter. I saw you guys carry ACT, Continental, and the Vigilante for the 700R4. I'm thinking I need about a 3000 RPM stall speed (mods are in sig, please let me know if you disagree). I noticed that the Vigilante is quite a bit more than the other two. Is it really that much better, or is it just the name that you're paying for? I need to get a good performing converter that is also streetable, as this is my daily driver. I have a TransGo shift kit and and external trans cooler installed too if that makes a difference. Thanks in advance.
I would get a 2,400-2,600 rpm stall 9.5" lockup from A.C.T. This comes with a one year warranty and a free stall change if desired. It can handle 800+ horsepower more than the transmission will ever hold up to. The differences between the two are minimal.
