3.42 or 3.73

im gettin gears soon and wanna make sure i get the best ones for my car. my car is a daily driver, and i take it on the highway prob a couple times a month. stock i have 2.73's, im thinkin 3.73's? any comments appreciated. thanks

What are your cam specs? You still have stock runners?

i like my 3.42s a lot, its win win situation either or. But make sure u match it with ure cam.

when they rebuilt my engine, they put a better cam in there. im planning on gettting edelbrock intake and lt4 hotcam.

3.42 are my favorite too but I would go with 3.73 with the 700

That doesn't make much sense. Just judging by the fact that he has a 700R4 means he has a very deep first gear, eliminating the need for a high (numerical) rear gear.

I would go with the 3.42. But, if you do plan on upgrading to that LT4 HOT cam soon, I would opt for the 3.73's. Either way, it will be a BIG improvement over those crappy 2.73's
