How do you drive...

...a T-5? The correct way that is. I have seen over and over again here in this trans. and drivetrain section that people are destroying their transmissions and a common response is "you don't know how to drive." Followed by something like "I race with huge amounts of power through my transmission with no problems because I know how to drive." I still have not seen what that is suppose to mean. What is the technique or procedure to driving a T-5 'the correct way'? Anyone brave enough to offer some detailed instructions?

i have a t-5 behind a 400+ horse 383. a t-5 is supposed to handle 310 ftlbs of torque. Im "supposed" to have too much. as long as you dont power shift or slam each gear, you'll be fine with this amount of power. you can easily race someone on the street and not shift like a maniac in order to get full potential of the car. if you go to the track and looking for the lowest possible time for your 500 hp monster.....then a t-5 wont cut it. but there comes a point when no matter what too much torque will start to seperate the shafts in a t-5 whicj will ultimatly grenade it.....but thats probably 550+ that would do that.
