tranny keeps going inbetween D & OD while driving.....

i installed a shift kit a while back and i know it messed up my tranny even more.......(b4 it was starting to slip inbetween gears).......well for a while it worked just find except reverse.......i would have to rev up to 2000-2500rpm's to get it to move......and well one day i was in grass and i tried doing that and it wouldnt really move in reverse so i went foreward instead and ever since when im in OD it keeps going from D to OD simultaneously........is the tranny totally F***ED up or what?

p.s. i plan on getting a different transmission anyway, its just that i still have to drive it occasionally and would like to b able to run 2300rpms in OD rather than 3000 in D.......thanks

Sounds like you have the manual shift linkage out of adjustment. Do not give it gas to get it to move in reverse, you will waste the low/reverse clutches. Solve the linkage problem, and "hope" you did not burn the l/r clutches.

i thought shift kits did not fix slippage in the tranny, i thought you need put a shift kit in only when the tranny is in tip top shape..
