im sorry im kinda in a rush, theres someone selling me a rearend from an 87' Firebird, its a open 3.42 rear with drum, Its a very good price, but what im concerned with is whether its a 26 or 28 spline. anyone know? Id go and check it out myself but he's kinda far.

 

Unless it has been changed since '87 that rear will have 26 spline axles.28 spline rears started around late '90 early '91 I have heard.

 

If it is indeed a stock '87, then its 26 spline.

i got a posi/disc/3.23 rear from a 94 Z28 (so i am assuming 28 spline axles, correct me if i am wrong) for $200

 

thats a great price but im looking for a 3.42 rear.
