I have a '78 350 4 bolt with 214 degree cam and header. Other than that stock. I put the engine in my 91 RS, which was original a 6 cyl car. Well I put a shift kit in the trans i bought and now it shifts form second to third at 6000 to 6500 rpms. It kinda scares me everytime it happens and i'm wondering if i should be scared.

 

what trans? you had to swap out the v6 trans for the SBC. throttal cable adjusted correctly if it's a 700r4?

 

he has an 84 astro 700r4, thats alot of rpms but i only have a stock 91 350 tpi which redlines at 5,550 rpm..

 

thats kind of cool!! what happens if you go easy on it? or are you?

 

Well i have the four barrels disables so its not all it has. Thats also when i put the trans into OD, no manual shifting.
